Architectural Lead for the delivery of four project-critical work streams related to the C100 system-wide Architectural Components and C146 Custom House Station contracts for Crossrail / Elizabeth Line, Europe’s largest infrastructure project.

  • Bracket designs for 3 km of platform signage incl. Transport for London logos (roundels) in 8 underground stations in Central London (Whitechapel, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon, Liverpool Street, Bond Street), with bespoke solutions for Paddington, Woolwich and Canary Wharf.
  • Underground safety screens in Back of House areas for 8 underground stations in central London.
  • Technical support for Britain’s longest artwork (3 km), trackside wall in Newham, in collaboration with artist Sonia Boyce MBE RA.
  • Overground safety screens around Overhead Line posts alongside trackside wall in Newham, East London.

Packages prepared taking into consideration complex regulatory and technical environment. Consideration for train/tunnel emergency escape strategies, earthing/bonding, train envelope, piston effect dynamic loadings and Crossrail Management System (CMS) data infrastructure routes. Extensive assurance process involving Construction Design Management (CDM), Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard Operability (HAZOP) workshops with experts from Crossrail, Transport for London, London Underground, and station and tunnel contractors. Deliverables within Bentley ProjectWise BIM environment.
