Colindale Residential Development

Mixed-use development with 460 apartments in 6 buildings incl. a 17-storey tower, 200 parking spaces, 1,500 sqm community centre, 9,000 sqm retail.

Site-based role to audit existing technical design and coordinate remediation efforts by Atkins architecture, structural, civil, geology, building physics, traffic, MEP, fire, and acoustics engineers over a 9-month period. Issues recorded in 30 Technical Notes, total of 150 pages.

Addressed a total of 40 design issues including the total redesign and refit of Kingspan Benchmark fa├žade, thermal bridging issues at inset balconies, pull-out tests juliet balcony fixings, redesign basement floor due to heave issues, firestopping and scope gaps, warranty issues, missing details.
